Christmas Eve — Thursday 24th December
As the village lights begin to glow across the harbour, wander along the waterfront to The Idle Rocks terrace for early evening carols overlooking the water – a traditional start to your Harbourside Christmas.
Return to St Mawes Hotel for a three‑course seasonal dinner, crafted with Cornish ingredients and served in the relaxed warmth of the Upper Deck Restaurant.
Christmas Day — Friday 25th December
Begin Christmas Day with a relaxed breakfast accompanied by a celebratory Mimosa, before settling into the day ahead.
At lunchtime, gather in the Upper Deck Restaurant for a traditional Christmas feast with all the trimmings. Expect generous festive flavours, Cornish produce, and a convivial atmosphere beside the water.
As the afternoon unfolds, retreat to The Hidden Cinema for The King’s Speech, followed by a festive Christmas movie. Or take a quiet walk through the village as the winter light softens over the harbour, before returning to the hotel to relax by the fire.
When evening arrives, guests may stroll along the waterfront to The Idle Rocks for an optional Christmas Grazing Buffet – a beautifully curated “Taste of Christmas” experience offering a lighter, artisan‑style supper to close the day.
Boxing Day — Saturday 26th December
Boxing Day begins slowly, with a late breakfast and a restorative Bloody Mary.
Enjoy the day at your own pace; coastal walks, winter light, or simply relaxing by the fire, before joining us in the evening for our much‑loved Quiz & Curry Night, open to residents and the local community.
Saturday 27th December — Departure
After your festive stay by the water, guests depart on Saturday 27th December, bringing your harbourside Christmas to its close. The morning is relaxed and unhurried, with the option to extend your stay if you’d like more time in St Mawes.
