BOOKING AGREEMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Upon booking we request a deposit of 50% of your stay with us; this will secure your reservation.

Should you need to cancel your reservation could you please email our reservations team at stay@stmaweshotel.com or via the booking partner you booked with.

 

1-3 Nights

100% refund if the booking is cancelled more than 2 weeks before the day of arrival.

The whole deposit with be retained if the booking is cancelled within 2 weeks of arrival, but more than 48 hours prior.

We regret that the full charge for the amount of the whole booking will be taken, should less than 48hrs notice be given for the cancellation. We will of course provide a refund for any nights we manage to re-sell.

All cancellations must be confirmed via e-mail, after the initial phone conversation.

 

4 Nights or More

100% refund if the booking is cancelled more than 4 weeks before the day of arrival.

The whole deposit with be retained if the booking is cancelled within 4 weeks of arrival, but more than 48 hours prior.

We regret that the full charge for the amount of the whole booking will be taken, should less than 48hrs notice be given for the cancellation. We will of course provide a refund for any nights we manage to re-sell.

For bookings of 3 rooms or more within the same party, the cancellation policy is extended to 60 days.

We do advise you to ensure that you have adequate travel insurance in place to cover any unforeseen eventualities.

If, due to circumstances beyond our control, we are forced to cancel or cut short your stay, we make every effort to find you alternative accommodation. We cannot be held responsible for any further costs incurred by you as a result.

During the peak season times we only accept two night stays at weekends.

We do advise you to ensure that you have adequate travel insurance in place to cover any unforeseen cancellation.

 

RATES

Your room rate will be confirmed at the time of booking; we regret that we cannot change the rate or terms of your stay once a booking has been confirmed.

PAYMENT

For all reservations, payment will be due on check-out by cash or card. Unfortunately we do not accept cheques as payment.

VAT

VAT is included at the current rate but these prices are subject to change if VAT rises above 20%. The effective rate of VAT is determined by the rate at the time you make a payment to us. If VAT rises after you have made your reservation the rate of your stay will be increased to reflect the increase in the rate of VAT, if that rate is above 20%.

MAINTENANCE & IMPROVEMENTS

As the hotel is open all year round, you may find that there is necessary maintenance taking place during your visit. We will endeavour to keep any noise and inconvenience to a minimum.

CAR PARKING

We recommend parking in the long stay main carpark where tickets can be purchased for a longer term. For a shorter visit the Harbour has a smaller carpark opposite the hotel where you can stop for shorter periods.

DOGS

At the St Mawes Hotel we have a couple of bedrooms where a small well behaved dog is most welcome to stay with its owner. For your arrival, we’ll prepare your room with a dog bed and towel, a welcome Bonio, bowl for water and maps of local walks with information on dog friendly beaches. We make a one off charge of £30 for the full duration of your stay.

Dogs are also more than welcome in the bar on the ground floor.

FOOD & DRINK

With the exception of baby foods, only food and drink that is purchased on the premises may be consumed on the premises.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

You are welcome to join us from 3pm of day of arrival, should you arrive earlier we may not be able to accommodate your car but you are more than welcome to use the hotel’s facilities. On your day of departure please feel free to use your room until 11am.

SMOKING

The hotel is entirely a no-smoking building, including the balcony.

DAMAGE

Any damage caused by any individual using the facilities of the St Mawes Hotel will be charged to that individual in full.

CHILDREN

All children will be booked onto the same accommodation terms as their parents or guardians.

BABYSITTING SERVICE

We are happy to provide parents with a local contact who you can contact direct (or a member of the team can contact them for you) however the relationship is entirely between the babysitter and the parents and the hotel will not accept any responsibility within this agreement.
